Tour or Hero?

Ok so I’m a sucker for cell phones. And some other stuff too but that’s not the point. Point is that I have about 3 weeks left on my t-mo subscription, Eric’s already expired, so he got himself a BB Tour. Of course I had to play with it a little and surprisingly I like it too. The rep told us that if I change my mind we can go back and he will honor the b1g1 free deal and put us on a family plan. The next day I became the owner of a shiny neW BB Tour. My 3rd phone this year after the Nokia 6120 and the Tube. I have 30 days to decide if I like it.

So far the pros:
-full keyboard
-nice screen
-etc

The cons
-full keyboard
-no touchscreen
-no wifi
-no say callers name like on my Nokias

I’m still thinking about the HTC Hero for Sprint. It’s coming out on the 11th. I’m definitely have to check it out.

One thing about typing on the Tour (or any full keyboard phone) it’s nice, but let me tell you my thumb is already hurting. I probably won’t be writing too many novels on it ))

Green canal in Harper’s Ferry – HDR

I like this part of the canal, everything is just so green! Reminds me of Ireland. Oh wait, I’ve never been to Ireland… still, I imagine it would be green like this place.

Once upon a time there used to be boat traffic here, now as you can see the water doesn’t move much, so the algae can grow nice and thick on it. I think it looks pretty cool.

Church at Harper’s Ferry – HDR

This is the HDR image I created from the single raw I shot from the church at Harper’s Ferry, WV. The husband and I went up there Sunday afternoon to take some shots, and somewhere between the parking lot and the town I lost the handle to my tripod. Tripod out of commission I decided to just shoot single raws. I wanted to practice with them anyway.

This is one of my favorite spots to shoot from, right next to the church, overlooking the Shenandoah & Potomac rivers.

I’m totally amazed how much different this photo is from the original. And it’s not like I did a whole lot, just processed the image in Photomatix, played with the sliders a little and here it is. There’s still a little halo effect there but it’s ok for now. I’m sure Trey Ratcliff could make it into a work of art, but hey, I’m not Trey Ratcliff!

A korhazban minden honapban megszavazunk egy honap dolgozojat. Igazsag szerint nem csak egyet, a regisztracion belul minden reszleg megszavazza a sajatjat. Igy lesz egyvalaki az ER-bol, egy a toronybol (altalanos korhaz ahova az embereket beutaljak mindenfele nyavajakkal), egy a noi es gyerek reszlegrol, es egy tolunk, a szivosztalyrol. Asszem nem hagytam ki senkit. Ma volt havi megbeszelesunk es na mit gondoltok ki kapta a honap dolgozoja cimet a sziv reszlegrol? Aha, en! Nem rossz. Kaptam egy szep kis emleklapot, bekeretezve, es 5 db $5-os utalvanyt a bufebe. Legalabb nem fogok ehezni ha esetleg elfelejtek kajat vinni magammal!

Junius 6.-an a korhazi reszleg ahol dolgozom bulit szervezett az egyik kornyekbeli szoloultetvenyen, a Barrel Oak Winery-ben. A bevetelt az American Heart Association javara ajanlottak fel. Kellemes kis szombat delutan volt, eleg sokan eljottek a korhazbol, noverek, meg nehany orvos is. Egy dokikbol allo zenekar szolgaltatta a zenet, es meg nem is jatszottak tul rosszul!

Mostanaban total ra vagyok indulva az egre meg a felhokre, neha olyan szepek szoktak lenni hogy legszivesebben mindig csak kattintgatnek de persze autovezetes kozben nehez meg aztan ugyse ugy nez ki mint ahogy azt en elkepzelem. Ez kivetelesen egesz jo kep lett, tokre tetszik ahogy a faklya tuze majdnem olyan szinu mint a naplemente. Sajnos csak a kis fotomasina volt nalam, de igy is jol sikerult, buszke vagyok magamra!
